Feelix consists of Nick Atkinson(guitar) and Kat Eaton(vocals).
We met at school where Nick needed a singer to sing his songs and kat needed a guitarist to play hers! The first gig we did was the school battle of the bands competition which we won. The prize was studio time at yellow arch studios in Sheffield.We enjoyed this experience so much it just confirmed how much we wanted to be musicians and songwriters. We have been gigging and writing together ever since.
We then went out and experimented with different genres playing gigs all over the country to learn our trade and try and work out what we wanted our sound to be and had a lot of fun in the process!
In 2009 we really started to get an idea of our direction and named ourselves Feelix. Since then we have supported Eliot Kennedy, Jon Allen, Teitur, Lauren Pritchard and Sandi Thom and released two EP’s. Last year we started working with Steelworks studios and now we are about to start working on our debut album with Grammy Award winning producer Eliot Kennedy and top producer James Jayawardena.
